you prolly found this one but...

https://www.lds.org/church/news/elder-andersen-visits-construction-site-of-paris-france-temple?lang=eng

It talks about France and his visit here. ...word around here is the Paris temple will be finished in 2016.

Anyways... hi!

So I just spent the last little while looking at the church's page about temples (one of our amis was asking about them) holy cow there are allot of temples under construction! And the ones that they have the concept pictures of are so cool! The Phoenix temple is georgeous! and the other ones they are in the process of buildign are all so different its so cool! Definitely was really fun to look at all those :)

Remember how I told you about Soldes (a huge sale time in all stores in France basically) in the winter? Well right now is the summer soldes so if there are any kind of souvenirs you want me to pick up for ya while im here let me know. I only have one thing that I really want as far as souvenir anything else Im sure I would be able to find on amazon when I get home. ...sometimes I really miss amazon haha weird huh?

haha Im excited to talk to Fr Durand. I don't think he will have to worry about me talking too fast I've been in the south the whole time. (they talk ridiculously fast in the north and they kinda mumble or at least some of the people I've talked to from the north, in the south they have a funny accent but i think its allot easier to understand them).

I guess we will find out about transfers tomorrow morning. I guess president has to be somewhere friday so hes doing them early. So you should get the news from the Brias soon enough if they post it. if not youll find out. Idk what will happen.

Last week Jean got the Preisthood! so cool! and his brother is being taught by the elders in a nearby ward and we are working with them to get a fhe with them together and it could be that Jean might baptise his brother! that would be so cool!

Other wise we had a good week. I got to see lots of member I know from Montpillier and then Nice(some YSA came to our ward on sunday to visit) so that was cool. I love the people in France they are all so great!
Tonight we go to chalon for some legality stuff hopefully we can do that quickly so I can be offically legal here for the rest of my mission. Being deported would be a weird end to a mission...haha

Well I gotta go.  Love you!

Good morning.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

That is about all that is in my brain at the moment since I just got the email with my plane tickets! Gross! ahhh!

Okay sorry I'll try to form real sentences now.

I think the airport they have me coming into is LAX and not burbank if you prefer burbank let the office know. But I imagine that that would mean I would get in later.

Also did you notice that the flight from Paris says I leave at 1030 and arrive at 130 three hour difference but thats just thanks to the plane racing time so in reality I will be on that plane for 11 and a half hours!!!! I bet your kinda glad your not coming to pick me up so you dont have to go through that! haha

Whew.... deep breath at least I wont have to do anything else about this information until august. So i think I'll try to forget that I read that email.

...my brain isn't working

I found out the Brias extended their mission until February.

I suddenly can't remember at all what really happened this week. We had a good week though. We taught some people. Saw some members. Talked to cool people on the street. We have a special stake conference this weekend too! Apparently allot of stakes in Europe are doing this stake conference together. President Uchtdorf and Elder Anderson will be doing a broadcast. So we are going to Marseille tonight for that and then tomorrow we are going to watch the broadcast at our building. Then Monday we have Pday which get cut short cause we will take the bus to Nice then Tuesday we have the missionary meeting with Elder Anderson in the Morning and then in the Evening he is doing a meeting with our stake so we will stay in Nice for the day and some members are going to give us a ride back that night. So its a pretty busy couple days.

Thats really cool that Dad gets to have a meeting with Elder Nelson!

Ok I gotta go watch a talk or something. haha

I love ya lots!

Everything is going really good here! Our investigators are making good progress! Sister Hiltunen and I get along really well so we've been doing some really good work! I'm really excited for this transfer I think we will see lots of good things happen. Unfortunately I think that will make this transfer go by really fast...

Did I tell you that I polished silver last week? We did some service for an older woman in the ward and helped her polish her old silver silverware. I thought it was an interesting experience.

Oh and I haven't said thank you yet so...THANK YOU for the package! It was much appreciated! Especially the Reese's mmmm!

So I had an experience that I thought was really cool: Last transfer we met a guy here who is from Michigan he was here studying. We met him because he was playing basketball in the church parking lot and we talked to him for a while. We saw him a couple other times randomly on the street or when he came to use the basketball hoop and the last time we saw him we told him we had wondered if he had hid the basketball in the bushes or if he just brought it around with him. He told us he brought it with him. He also told us he was heading back to the states soon. Then, on Wednesday after we had done emails and stuff at the church we were walking down the street when I looked into the church parking lot and saw a basketball in the bushes! I Immediately knew it was Drew that had left if for us so we ran back and sure enough he left a note and the basketball for us! Haha that made my day!

{Sorry its sideways...I couldn't figure out how to rotate it}

Other than that this week was really good! We did some much needed area book work and called a TON of people and fixed quite a few rdvs. A lady that my companion gave a card to on the bus came to church yesterday! And we are starting to teach a Chinese student he was pretty cool. Everything is going really well here!
