My favorite pastry - Jesuite :)

It was fun to skype with you guys! Though now it feels like that was a long time ago! I forgot to tell you some stories on Skype that I was planning on telling you about! Well maybe next time...I don't think they would be the same over email.

When we started skyping I completely forgot all the things I was going to tell you and immediately after I remembered allot.
Sorry I haven't really been telling you much about what its actually like here I guess I forget. I will try to be better about that.
I hope you got my package or at least that you get it soon.

This week was really good; We ate a lot. It went by really fast too. Nothing super remarkable other than Christmas happened that I can think of. We found a 50's American Diner here in town and went there for lunch. It was pretty cool but I think real american food is better. For some reason they just cant get it quite right here. Oh Friday we ate at a members house and we had a dish called Raclette its basically baked potatoes, with some cooked meat on top and a certain kind of cheese melted on top. Its really good! There is a special kind of pan thing that you can get for it that has little dishes for you to melt the cheese in on bottom while the meat is cooking on top. You can google it and you'll get a better idea of what I am talking about.

Well what can I tell ya? I'll try to take more pictures and explain more things to ya. Things that they don't have in France: ranch dressing, peanut butter(well they have some but its small containers and expensive), reese's, root beer, dr pepper, condensed soups(cream of mushroom and so forth), i think i already told you but they just cant get brownies right either and that's all I can think of for now.
For some reason pancakes and waffles are classified as deserts here...and so is cheese and fruit...weird I know.

Well that's all the random things I can think of for the moment.

For future reference I have discovered that members (well missionaries too) here love american things that are rare here such as resse's and root beer so next time you send a package those would be great space fillers! (as far as the root beer just sending bottles of root beer extract would be best cause we could make it here fine)
Love you lots!  Happy New Year!
